This position offers hands-on experience working with dogs in a professional training environment. While a passion for dogs is important, candidates must also be committed to following our proven training system and effectively communicating these methods to clients. Initial onboarding and hands-on training will take place at our main office in Bozeman. Candidates will begin by working with dogs in our board & train program, with the goal of advancing to leading one-on-one private lessons with clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Handling dogs during training sessions, following instructions and maintaining a safe environment.
  • Employ excellent communication skills to articulate training instructions, feedback, and progress updates to clients in a clear and empathetic manner.
  • Use designated systems and tools to accurately record detailed notes, training plans, and other essential data related to each dog’s progress and client interactions.

  • Follow established protocols for dog handling, ensuring the safety of both dogs and staff.
  • Strive to achieve high levels of client satisfaction by consistently delivering exceptional coaching experiences and maintaining open lines of communication.
  • Attend training sessions and meetings as required to stay informed about proper dog handling techniques and facility protocols.
  • Attend to the well-being of dogs, ensuring proper care, exercise, and occasional field trips, while also maintaining accurate records as required.

  • Physical stamina and capability to handle dogs of various sizes and energy levels
  • Demonstrate exceptional coaching and communication skills that seamlessly adapt to the unique requirements of each individual and situation
  • Attention to detail when cleaning and sanitizing kennel areas and equipment
  • Professional demeanor and the ability to maintain composure in challenging situations
  • Willingness to learn and adhere to training techniques and protocols established by the facility
  • Flexibility in working hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
